My name is Donovan and I love to create stories. I also love building and making geeky stuff. I created a youtube channel, Once Upon On A Workbench (now Geek Dad DIY) to share my stories of fun and geeky themed creations, inspired by all things pop culture. On top of all of this, I am a Dad. So, naturally, I had to build a fun and geeky themed playhouse.

I built my first playhouse a few years ago in my own back yard, modeled after Link’s house from the video game, Breath of the Wild. This video received 1.2 million views on youtube and thousands of requests to make more content like it. Since then, I have designed and built several playhouses and play spaces for others to enjoy.
